Sake Class (6 lesson block)

Explore Japan through sake with Kenji, a certified international sake sommelier who has spent many years working at a sake brewery in Hyogo and has also had the pleasure of tasting over 1,000 sakes from breweries in Japan – and around the world. Sake-focused lessons are the perfect way to level up your Japanese and build your knowledge of nihonshu. Learn about rice, water, koji and yeast and the way these combine to create Japan’s national drink. 

Sake needs to be purchased separately but links to online shops will be provided by email before each lesson. For students residing outside Japan who cannot prepare the same sake, lessons will be conducted using the sake available to the student.

Google Meet or Skype is used for lessons.
